FRESHMAN-SOPHOMORE TRACK MEET
Thursday, April 9th, 2015
Coaches Meeting @ 3:40 PM in pressbox
Field Events Start @ 4:00 PM
Running Events Start @ 4:15 PM
Entries: 4 per event/1 relay team (fastest runners in first heat) : unlimited entries in 100m dash and 1600m run.
Specific Limitations:  This meet is for your Freshman & Sophomore athletes only.
Schools Participating:  Big Lake, Becker, Foley, Princeton, Saint Michael-Albertville,                                             Sauk Rapids-Rice
Awards:  Medals for 1st through 6th place individual.  Ribbons for 1st through 3rd place                                relay teams.
Numbers:      We’ll be using your rosters from the MSHSL website to give your athletes numbers for the meet scoring software.  Coaches: Make sure your rosters are up to date.  Pick up your numbered rosters when you arrive at the meet (press box).  Numbers will be written on the back of the athletes’ hands.
Scoring:  Team scores will not be kept at this meet.    Concessions:  Will be available.

*  1/8” pyramid spikes only!
*  Clerking for all running events will be done at the top of the track (North end of straight away)

                                                Girls Discus, followed by Boys
                                                Girls High Jump, followed by Boys
                                                Boys Pole Vault, followed by Girls
                                                Girls & Boys Long Jump - (Cafeteria style)                                                                              * pit will close by end of the boys 1600 m Run
                        4:15 PM:         Running Events will start with the Girls 4 x 800 Relay

                        5:35 PM:         Boys & Girls Triple Jump - (Cafeteria style)                                                                            * pit will close at 7:00 PM, or at the end of the 3200 -                                                   which ever comes first

Apollo Dual Results

The Storm split with Apollo in the dual meet held April 2nd. The girls won 99-82 and the boys lost 92-81. here are some of the highlights:

Apollo Dual info

Green & Gold-Red, White & Blue Dual Meet

Students out at 2:45, bus leaves at 3:00 

Date:  April 2nd, 2015 – Coaches meeting at 4:00.  Field events will begin at 4:15, running events 4:30.               
Teams:  St. Cloud Apollo and Sauk Rapids-Rice
Entries:   Unlimited entries (but only two athletes per school will score), Athletes will need to have their competitor number on the back of their hand.  Fully Automatic Timing will be used.
Scoring:  5-3-2-1     Relays:   5-3  Top two athletes from each school and top relay will score.
Spikes:  Only 1/8 spikes are allowed
Field Events:  4 jumps in the long jump, triple jump, and throws (no finals).  The high jump and pole vault starting heights will be determined at the coaches meeting.
Lane Assignments: Lane assignments will rotate for every race.
Schedule of Events: 
4:15:  Girls HJ and Discus, Boys Shot put and Pole Vault.  Boys & Girls Long Jump (cafeteria style) done at 5:30, triple jump will start at 5:45 and end at 7:00
4:30:  Running Events begin (all events are finals) Girls followed by boys

The young Storm squad recorded 20 season best performances on the day. The girls finished in 8th place and the boys finished 9th.
