Central Minnesota Mega Meet

Date: Saturday, May 4th, 2013

Start Time: 9:30 am field, 9:45 running

Coaches Meeting: 8:45 am meeting inside the school door #9 turn right look for signs

Location: Sauk Rapids/ Rice Middle School 901 S 1st St

Cost: $90 per team $180 per school covers both boys and girls teams

Admission: $6 Adults $4 Students

The goal of the Mega Meet is to gather teams in an effort to promote quality competition

for all of our track and field athletes in order to help them get ready for their competition

phase. We strive to improve the quality of this meet each year, and look forward to

having your teams participate.

JV Mega Meet: There will be a JV Mega Meet on Friday, May 3th 4:30 pm at Sartell

Middle School. For more information email Kellerman@sartell.k12.mn.us.

Teams: Albany, Apollo, Blaine (G), Cathedral, Centennial, Coon Rapids, EV-W/K,

Foley, Litchfield, Little Falls, Monticello, North (B), Rocori, Sartell-St. Stephen, Sauk

Rapids-Rice, Tech, St. Cloud Christian School, and Spring Lake Park/St. Anthony.

Entries: 3 entries per event and 1 relay (No Prelims) Fully Automatic Timing will be

used. All entries will be seeded on Thursday, May 2rd. Please have Hy-Tek entries

emailed by 6:00 pm to: loren.finlayson@isd47.org. Athletes listed in relays will be put in

the meet program. Scratch & Add: All Scratches and Adds must be emailed before 5:00

pm on Friday May, 3th. Please double check all entries for accuracy.

No additions or editing of seed times/distances on Saturday.

Scoring: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 for individuals and relays

Spikes: 1/ 8 inch pyramid or less. Anything else will result in a DQ from event.

Marks: No tape will be allowed on the track or jumps. Relays should use tennis balls or

chalk.

Workers: One coach from each school will be needed to judge an exchange zone.

Clerking: will be held on the north side of the track.

Field Events: We will start at 9:30 with: Girls- Long Jump, Shot Put, Pole Vault Boys-

Triple Jump, Discus, High Jump. Pole Vault and High Jump will be run in 3 or 5 alive

format. Starting heights will be determined by entries and usually start high. Long and

Triple Jumps will be in flights with 4 attempts. Shot Put and Discus will be in flights, 3

attempts with finals. Please weight in implements in concession stand by 9:00 am At

approximately 11:45 all field sessions will be closed and there will be a 15 minute break.

At about 12:00 the second session will begin and 15 minutes will be allowed for warm

ups.

Results: will be posted under the stadium on the board. All results will be available 5

minutes after the conclusion of the meet to take home. They will also be posted at:

stormtf.blogspot.com by 5:00 PM on Saturday.

Team Camps: will be outside of the track. Keep camps on the south end of the track or

along the east side of the school. Please stay off the infield no camps or tents on the

north end of the track.

Mega Meet T- Shirts: Cost $15. Get them ASAP, they go fast.

Meet Programs: on sale for $1.

Awards: Coborns Sheet Cake Trophies will be awarded to the top three boys and girls

teams. Medals will be awarded to the top 4 places and ribbons through 8th place.

We will not be going to the TCU Invite on Saturday, April 27th due to a variety of reasons. Mostly because we can get everyone in Friday's meet at Holdingford and they are many kids not able to go Saturday.
