No meet at Annandale

Thanks to the latest storm, we will not be having the meet at Annandale. The good news is that we have a meet Monday at Princeton. The meet will start at 4:00 pm, bus will leave the high school at 2:15.

Great Day at Montgomery


The SRR Storm traveled to Montgomery for the TCU Invite and came home with a 3rd place finish for the girls and 4th place for the boys. The team totaled 27 season best performances. Storm highlights:

INFORMATION:
Ø  Please stay off the infield unless warming up for an event.  NO TEAM CAMPS on the football field.
Ø  Participants may use no longer than 1/8th inch pyramid spikes.
Ø  Each team will be allowed 3 entries per event and 1 relay team.  We will be taking your rosters off the MSHSL website and assigning each athlete a number. Coaches will pick up a packet with competitor numbers upon arrival.  Competitor numbers will be written on back of the hand.  PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN MARKERS. 
Ø  100/110 M Hurdles, 100 M Dash, & 200 M Dash:  Three or four heats will be run in each event with the first heat being the “fast” heat.  Please enter your fastest runner in the first heat, 2nd fastest in second heat, etc.
Ø  Shot Put & Discus: 4 throws. No Prelims.
Ø  Long Jump & Triple Jump:  One 1 hour 15min. time limit. 4 Jumps..
Ø  Starting height of Pole Vault and High Jump will be decided prior to start of meet.  We will use a “five alive” format.
Ø  Calls will be given prior to each event.  Final calls will be approx. 5 minutes before each event.  Running events take priority over field events.  Wait for second call to report to your running event.
Ø  Live Results on www.herostiming.com.  Paper results available after completion of meet.
Ø  Please let me know if you have any wheelchair entrants.

The Storm took on the Falcons Friday in the Battle for Benton County. Using a dual meet scoring system that scored the top 2 from each team in each event and top relay team, Foley topped the Storm 163-127.

No trip to Bemidji

Due to some changes that were made in the meet schedule, we will not be traveling to Bemidji on Tuesday, April 8th. The changes created what would have been a very long day for us and it was decided that we would not go to the meet.

Weather permitting we will be hosting Brainerd on Friday, April 11th at 4:30. This meet will be for the kids who are not competing in the meet in Montgomery on Saturday, April 12th.

Numbers: We’ll be using your rosters from the MSHSL website to give your athletes
numbers. Coaches: Roster numbers will be e-mailed to coaches prior to the meet on Friday. Numbers should be on the back of athletes hand.
Concessions and Restrooms: Will be available in the North Field house entry just west of the track.
Fully Automatic Timing will be used.
Scoring: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 for individuals and relays – top 3 per team
OTHER MEET INFORMATION:
* 1/8” or less - pyramid spikes only!
* Clerking for all running events will be done at the top of the track (North end of straight away)
* SP – 4 throws no Finals.
* Long and Triple Jumpers will get 3 jumps & no finals (cafeteria style for jumpers) LJ open until end of boys 1600m. TJ to follow.
* Team camps will be allowed in south hallway and foyer as infield as last choice. Please clean up your areas before leaving.
